Baby food log template for first tries, amounts and reactions
This food log template gives every new food a record across three attempts: the first try, the second try and the final try. A separate section marks allergic reactions. There's also room for the date and time of each meal, the amount your baby ate, their response and notes on each food item.
Recording three tries shows whether a refusal on the first day turns into a full portion by the final try.
Sections on the food log template
- Food item
- First try
- Second try
- Final try
- Date and time of each meal
- Amount consumed
- Your child's response
- Allergic reactions
- Notes on each food item
Filling in a baby food journal after each meal
Start with the food's name. Fill in the first try on the day you offer it, noting the time, how much your child ate and how they reacted. Mark the allergic reaction section straight away if a reaction appears, then add the details under notes.
Printed pages slip into a binder, so you'll have a dated list of foods and responses ready for your child's next doctor appointment.
